Professor Emeritus N.T.U.A., M.Sc., Ph.D., Environment & Sustainable Development Consultant, Mining and Metallurgical Engineer, M.Sc., Ph.D., School of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, University of Minnesota, USA, NSF Fellow. Certified for Environmental Studies (Category 27), Class C. She worked as a researcher, engineer and manager in research institutions, the mining industry and environmental consulting firms. Her more than 40 years expertise focus on Project Management, Environmental Management, Sustainable Development of Mineral Resources, Remediation of Industrial and Mining Contaminated Sites, S&E Due Diligence.

She has coordinated/participated in 61 European and national research projects and has completed as UNDP expert a series of studies on rehabilitation of old mining sites in the SW Balkans during 2011-2014.

She has participated as a coordinator in the drafting of Greek legislation on environmental licensing and inspection issues and as an expert in the drafting of national and European legislation on mining waste management. She has been an evaluator of Greek and European funded projects and a reviewer in scientific journals. She has authored or co-authored 103 peer-reviewed articles published in international scientific journals or conference proceedings with more than 1,470 references.

She edited the Greek edition of the volume Health and Safety at Work (Jeremy Stranks), Rossili, Athens 2018. Coordinated and participated in the preparation of more than 200 Technical, Feasibility and Environmental Impact Studies.
